Updating and Optimization of Water Infrastructure

Smart Water Analyticss has managed and directed the planning and design of large water infrastructure and supply systems, including intake structures, well fields, raw water mains, conventional water treatment plants, desalination RO plants, high service pumping systems, booster pumps, water distribution networks, storage tanks and SCADA systems.


The firm has conducted water loss reduction evaluations worldwide for improving the efficiency of water distribution systems and implementation of smart water infrastructure technologies. We help water utilities in the optimization of energy consumption and improving water quality.

Non-Revenue Water Reduction

Smart Water Analytics is particularly qualified in planning and implementing water loss reduction programs for potable water distribution systems. The firm has developed successful programs designed to assist water utilities with their complexities of both water losses and revenue shortfalls. His experience includes: field monitoring of pressure and flows, hydraulic modeling, GIS analysis, development of District Metering Areas (DMA) and Pressure Management Areas (PMA), customer meter testing and geocoding, meter replacement business case and program management, evaluation of customer meter databases, component analysis of real and apparent losses, and tariff development. 

Business Case Evaluations of Water Utilities

Experienced in developing financial and cash flow models, scheduling loan disbursement and budgets, cost estimating and life cycle cost analysis, and performing valuation of vertical and buried assets for water utilities. Smart Water Analytics has conducted several due diligence studies for evaluation of existing conditions and development of action plans for rehabilitation and improvements of water infrastructure. The firm has directed numerous Non-Revenue Water (NRW) reduction projects, including: Water Loss Control Survey/Audit programs worldwide, and assisted several water utilities in improving water efficiency and optimizing the distribution systems’ operational performance.
